Anjelah Johnson-Reyes and Ugly BabyMay 10, 2026 · 35 minAnjelah Johnson-Reyes! Comedian! Actor! Podcaster! Friend! Delight! More! We have a great chat and you can have a great listen! Anjelah's 7th comedy special, "Anjelah Johnson-Reyes: Ugly Baby" (a self-financed and self-produced special where she makes her directorial debut) is out today, May 10, 2026 starting at 12PM PDT / 2PM CDT on her YouTube channel! From the special's press release, the show is "a dynamic hour of standup that blends humor and heart, exploring ever-evolving family dynamics, embracing her current stage of life, and the grand adventure of becoming a first-time mom in her later years. Following the success of her last two specials, 'Say I Won't' (over 8.6M views and counting) and 'Technically Not Stalking' (over 3.1M views and counting), it only makes sense that Anjelah also brings her 7th special to YouTube to continue making her comedy available to fans all over the world. The platform has been a home for Anjelah for over 20 years, ever since her 'Nail Salon' joke went viral. At the core of the special is Anjelah's journey into motherhood in her 40s. Using her natural wit and charm, she opens up about personal struggles with fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum life, while touching on the universal themes of relationships, generational shifts, and fighting people on airplanes. Anjelah's special is anchored in her relatability – you can't help but feel that she is your cool Tia commiserating with you on everything. Ahead of the new special, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes shares: 'I'm grateful that I've been able to do this 7 times. My boobs may be falling lower but at least my career continues to reach new heights, all thanks to my loyal fans that have been riding with me for so long. I hope you enjoy my most vulnerable hour yet!' Filmed live across two sold-out shows at the historic El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles, the special is a co-production between her Laugh On Beat production company and 800 Pound Gorilla. The special was directed by Anjelah Johnson-Reyes and executive produced by Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Manwell Reyes, Stephen Gordon Walker, and Jordan Levy. Anjelah is one of the most successful stand-up comedians today with six comedy specials streaming on various platforms and selling out theaters across the world. Her 7th comedy special serves as the capstone to her largely successful "The Family Reunion" stand-up comedy tour, which spanned 100+ shows in major theaters across the US in 2025–2026. Over the course of the tour she sold over 200,000 tickets including two sold out shows at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, 4 sold out shows at The Grove of Anaheim, a sold out show at Smart Financial Centre in Houston, TX, and a sold out show at The Ryman in Nashville, TN. Born and raised in San Jose, California, and of Mexican and Native American descent, Anjelah has guest starred on shows such as Life & Beth, Superstore, The Shield, Ugly Betty, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I have many clips that have done very well online, like my set on the live show for Depths of Wikipedia , and my Top Straightest Moments of 2022 /2023/2024. My rant against AMC A-List was named one of Vulture's Best Comedy Shorts of June 2024. I also made this fun, semi-viral video about Chappell Roan. Firecracker Comedy!Dec 16, 2025 · 31 minFirecracker Comedy! Welcome to the first THREE-GUEST EPISODE of Broccoli and Ice Cream! Because... Firecracker Comedy is a comedy 'supergroup' composed of Gabby Gutierrez-Reed, Kate Strobel and Salma Zaky. Forged in the grade-A comedy incubator of Denver, CO, Firecracker Comedy has been putting on killer shows for years. The Firecracker Comedy album celebrates this trio of badass women who center their comedy, and everything they do around their deep and undying friendship, love, and appreciation for each other: "We started running Firecracker Comedy as a standup show in a tattoo shop in Denver years ago, when we all were in a bit of a dark place and at a crossroads in our lives. The show is a celebration of finding joy, building community, and being silly with your pals when the world around you is spiraling out of control. We even have matching firecracker tattoos!" Firecracker Comedy consists of 20 minute sets from Gabby, Kate and Salma, following an introduction from all three to welcome the audience to the group's delightful chemistry. Each of the three comedians have distinct styles: Kate's heartfelt storytelling, Gabby's hilarious impressions, and Salma's perfectly crafted one-liners. These differences compliment each other, much like in a friendship (or three)! Salma and Kate are now based in Brooklyn where they regularly bring the Firecracker vibes to Union Hall. The album is a culmination of material from their collective time in Denver - running that sold-out indie comedy show in the tattoo studio, hauling chairs across town, hanging flyers in every Denver coffee shop, stressing about if the broken sound system would work that night - as well as Salma and Kate's early experiences in the Big Apple. The album shows how no matter where they find themselves, the three always come back together as friends. Gabby, Kate and Salma of course want their listeners to belly laugh for an hour straight, but they also want listeners to feel connected to them as a group, and be inspired to create silly little things with their friends too. What else is life really about besides deepening our relationships and collaborating with the ones you love? We have a great chat! You have a great listen! Sydney Kane and Wife MaterialNov 28, 2025 · 33 minSydney Kane! Actor! Writer! Singer! Comedian! Her new show is called "Wife Material." ABOUT WIFE MATERIAL: Sydney Kane was just dumped for not being "wife material." Desperate to figure out what wife material is, Sydney signs up for a drug trial for a magical pill that will help transform her into the perfect wife. The only side effect? Being transported into a dramatic interpretation of her love life: a one hour musical sitcom! Sydney takes you on a PG-13, (leaning R) journey through the most universal experience there is: falling in love and then falling out and then falling back in. And then regretting it, and telling your friends you're done but then you're not. And then you're on your floor waiting for a text that never comes, so you get over it, and then you meet someone new. And you fall in love. Does this ever end? Will Sydney break out of her toxic dating cycle or stay in this endless loop? They say the only way to get over a break up is by breaking out into song and light choreo, so Sydney is giving that a shot. She's also taking those pills*. One thing is for sure: if Sydney has an audience there is nothing she won't do. See it all play out in Wife Material at Littlefield in Brooklyn December 1 & 2, 2025 and at SF Sketchfest January 25, 2026. *(WIFE MATERIAL IS NOT APPROVED BY THE FDA BUT RFK IS STILL TAKING A LOOK) CREDITS: Written and Performed by: Sydney Kane Producers: Bart Coleman, DTYF Productions Direction: Cassidy Kepp Music Direction and Arrangements: David Dabbon Music Production: Skyler Fortgang WHO: Sydney Kane, NYC-based actor/ comedian WHAT: Encore presentation of her fully sold-out comedic show, Wife Material WHERE: LITTLEFIELD, 635 Sackett St, Brooklyn, NY WHEN: December 1 & 2, 8pm (Ticket Links for listings: Dec 1 - Dec 2 ) About Sydney Kane: Sydney Kane is an NYC based actor, singer, comedian, writer who has performed everywhere from off-off-off-barely Broadway to the big 9x16 iPhone screen. Jeremy Alder and Almost A Grown ManOct 21, 2025 · 36 minJeremy Alder! Comedian! Ex-preacher! Almost A Grown Man! Friend! Delight! More! We have a great chat! You have a great listen! About Jeremy Alder: Homeschooled in the heart of Texas by fundamentalist missionary parents with a penchant for conspiracy theories, Jeremy's childhood was anything but conventional. Now married with children of his own, Jeremy's material delves into the trials and tribulations of growing up homeschooled, the complications of religion, the mysteries of marriage, the chaos of parenting, and the existential crisis of aging—all with a healthy dose of skepticism and silliness, dry wit and charm. Jeremy headlines comedy clubs and bars around the country and has opened for several nationally touring acts, including Demetri Martin, Russell Howard, Tom Papa, Aparna Nancherla, Nicole Byer, and Chad Daniels. He has been a featured performer at numerous comedy festivals, including Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, SF Sketchfest, Big Sky Comedy Festival (Best of Fest), Asheville Comedy Festival, and Cleveland Comedy Festival (Best of Fest). Jeremy's Dry Bar Comedy special, "Purity Pants", has generated over 6 million across platforms. About his album "Almost A Grown Man": Jeremy Alder's debut comedy album Almost A Grown Man is out courtesy of Blonde Medicine. A 'güero' born, raised and homeschooled in South Texas, Jeremy was steeped in a world of alternative facts and fervent beliefs and learned early on to find humor in life's absurdities. Alder started comedy 10 years ago and now he's got an autobiographical hour of jokes and stories about growing up weirdly religious and homeschooled in Texas, young marriage, remarriage, and fatherhood. Also, plenty of God, sex, drugs, and guns to keep it interesting. The album was recorded in the historic small town of Hillsborough, North Carolina, where Jeremy lives. Said Alder, "I recorded the album at a bar around the corner from my house. There were a lot of locals there, including the mayor, as well as my wife and kids. It felt like a community event!" Jeremy went to seminary after college, where he developed a humorous and provocative preaching style that sometimes got him in trouble. When a personal crisis led him to stop preaching and going to church, he turned to standup. The comedy community quickly became his new spiritual home, which he will be the first to tell you, is not a good thing. Jeremy met label heads Dominic Del Bene and Jessica Mozes by coincidence outside a show and found another supportive community in Blonde Medicine. Almost a Grown Man will is available wherever comedy is heard. <br

Skulk and The Many Incessant Lives and Subsequent Deaths Deserved of Skulk the HulkingSep 15, 2025 · 35 minSkulk! Comedian! Musician! Story-teller! Friend! Delight! More! Skulk and I have a great chat about this project and more! THE MANY INCESSANT LIVES & SUBSEQUENT DEATHS DESERVED OF SKULK, The HULKING is a fictional video podcast built on music, performance, storytelling, and Ai visuals. Following the War to End All Wars and having depleted most of our resources, all people - by choice or by force - move to The City That's Always Falling Apart to try and stave off extinction. Giant forces inhabiting this final city both personify our desires and attempt to sway our fates, but an oafish beast known as Skulk tries to save us all. At times dark, goofy, aggressive, honest, and full of hope, The Many Incessant Lives and Subsequent Deaths Deserved of Skulk, The Hulking explores the decisions we make as a people - an allegory for our globalized world, the weaponization of capitalism, and the age-old 'problem' of the human condition. Skulk, The Hulking is an ogre-like dolt trying to help a world that has fallen apart, yet he seems only to find unique paths to an early demise, while an Earth - knowing unfortunately that he's the planet's last hope - keeps bringing him back to life. He is a giant force that represents us all, trying to figure things out, wading through the muckiest parts of life, fighting the forces that none of us have the energy to fight against, making the choices none of us wants to make, failing miserably, like all of us probably would. No one even wants him to do it but man, his hope just can't be killed…or maybe he's just an idiot. In this story, things are rarely all-bad or all-good. The audience is asked whether they approve of the reasons they do what they do and if the ends justify the means. Characters in the podcast originally appeared in Skulk (the band's) live shows and music videos. Lady Baghead and the Followers of Baghead were originally depictions of Rene Magritte's surrealist painting "The Lovers". Hammerhands, a wrecking ball of hate with hammers for hands was played in Skulk music videos by Henry Zebrowski (Last Podcast on the Left, Wolf of Wall Street). And Camelman - originally a prancing merrymaker in a camel mask who pulled popsicles from his whitey tighties and handed them to the concert crowd - has evolved into the gangly overlord of our tantilizing addictions. With visuals created using MidJourney, the 'near misses' of Ai creation become a style. When creating with Ai, it is nearly impossible to recreate the same exact character with subsequent prompts. Yet since Skulk is constantly dying and being re-born out of whatever material the earth can find at the time, these glitches are given context and woven into the tale. The differing looks of the cent

Andy Woodhull and Beach BrainJul 15, 2025 · 37 minAndy Woodhull! Comedian! Friend! Delight! More! Andy has a new special out now called " Beach Brain "! We have a great chat and you can have a great listen! ABOUT BEACH BRAIN: Two decades into his comedy career, Andy still has as much fun on stage as he did at his first open mic in 2003. All seven of his albums are time capsules of where Andy was in his life when they were written. His jokes have played over 50 million times on Pandora and are on rotation on Sirius Radio. His DryBar comedy special on YouTube has over 12 million views. The name Beach Brain was inspired by fellow comedian Dave Waite who joked that Andy (originally from Elkhart, Indiana) developed a perpetually positive attitude after moving by the beach. This hour of comedy was crafted during one of the happiest periods of Andy's life, and features his signature style of clean humor with a sharp edge, while adding a Beach Brained optimistic spin. Calling it his silliest album yet, Andy says "My hope is it will appeal to like-minded Beach Brains, and give non Beach Brains a little taste of life by the water." On the album, Andy explores the humor in second marriages, gaslighting, and buying toilet paper in bulk. . ABOUT ANDY: Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian, writer, and television host Andy Woodhull was the first comedian to make his network television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Mike being on the show started with his sending me this message: "In listening to your podcast, I'm struck by the similarities, between stand-up comedians and story artists in animated films, in working out material on peers and sometimes audiences. In animation you draw and edit storyboards and temp dialog to hone in on something funny. Eliminating the clunky bits and hopefully having a tight presentation by the time the movie is finished. There are usually many iterations to get to the good stuff." "Thanks for your investigations into how creators create and then engineer delivery. Shanna Christmas and Highly IntelligentMay 30, 2025 · 31 minShanna Christmas ! Comedian! Writer! Actor! Producer! Shanna has a new special out right now called Highly Intelligent (watch there or listen as an audio album wherever you find your comedy albums!) and here is the official information about it: "Comedian, writer, and proud Las Vegas native Shanna Christmas is bringing the heat—and the heart—with her bold new comedy special. One hour of machine-gun punchlines and razor-sharp observations unpacking the horrors of working in healthcare, losing a parent to dementia, the struggles of being tall, and surviving sexual assault in the comedy scene Shot live at an intimate jazz club in the heart of downtown Las Vegas, the special captures Shanna Christmas doing what she does best: making people laugh so hard they forget they're in a dark room with strangers. With machine-gun punchlines, razor- sharp observations, and stories that swing from wild to wicked, Shanna invites audiences into a world that's as smart as it is side-splitting. But this special isn't just jokes. In a stunning final turn, Shanna peels back the curtain to share a deeply personal, gut-wrenching story of surviving sexual assault. The room, once roaring with laughter, falls into a reverent, electric silence as she bravely reframes her trauma through the lens of resilience, truth, and yes—even humor. 'I wanted to make a special that felt like me,' Shanna says. 'Loud, fast, honest, funny—but also full of real life. Because comedy is how I take my power back. And I want people to feel theirs, too.' Filmed in the city where she grew up, Highly Intelligent is more than just a comedy special; it's a homecoming. And a reckoning. And a celebration of what it means to be funny, fearless, and female in today's world. The special is directed by Michael Malone, an award-winning filmmaker and comedian whose credits include Comedy Central, Showtime, and FOX. A veteran of the industry, Michael currently leads the creative team at Brad Garrett Presents, the comedy production division of Brad Garrett's Entertainment. Through his own company, Glass Hammer Productions, he has directed over a dozen stand-up specials and three acclaimed comedy documentaries." And here is more official information about Shanna: "Shanna Christmas was born and raised in Las Vegas. She is a stand up comedian, writer (Reductress, Insider), actor and producer who stands at 6'3'' and played volleyball in college, despite much protest. Her comedy style has been described as 'Edgy/Classy' as she finds ways to speak about complicated issues that
