- Paris Sashay and Alex English Prove That the Gays Know How to Play Spades | 39Mar 30, 2026 · 49 minThis week on We Playin’ Spades, the Turquoise Table becomes the unofficial headquarters of gay comedy as Paris Sashay pulls up with writer and comedian Alex English as her spades partner — repping for the gays and proving, loudly and proudly, that the community does in fact know how to play spades.
From the first deal, it’s nothing but jokes, chaos, and cultural correction. Paris gets into her former life dating men and running them for their money, why she eventually retired from men altogether (the men ain’t the same men no more), and how she never really had to come out of the closet because her family only had one condition: the woman better be a baddie. No press conference. No announcement. Just pure aesthetics.
Alex breaks down the heckler that completely changed how he approaches stand-up, forcing him to expand his material and divulges the very specific way you can tell he's “not that gay.”
Nick delivers the most unhinged pee-in-the-bed story ever told at the Turquoise Table, which somehow turns into a therapeutic breakthrough and then pivots into shaming Courtney, Paris, and Alex for their embarrassingly weak knowledge of Black cinema. Receipts are pulled. Legacies are defended.
All four comedians bond over bombing on stage, the universal pain of a bad set, and why punching down is lazy comedy. It’s one of those episodes where the jokes are reckless, the lessons are real, and everybody leaves slightly more exposed than they planned.
The Gays…they’re playing spades.

- SAG Awards, Geese Fights, and the Comedy Hustle with Lavell Crawford | 38Mar 23, 2026 · 1 hrThe episode kicks off with hosts Nick Cannon and Courtney Bee dealing out the jokes right away, welcoming comedy legend Lavell Crawford and his cousin, road manager, and Spades partner, Floyd "Big Black." When asked about the last time he got whooped at the table, Lavell shares a wild story about playing Spades at his uncle's house while surrounded by massive, stallion-sized dogs that made him too nervous to focus.
As the game heats up, the "Cut the Deck and Spill the Tea" questions bring pure chaos. Lavell boldly claims he writes great jokes while getting it on and passionately explains why he would rather fight 50 geese-sized men than risk getting kicked by a man-sized goose. Dropping some serious OG wisdom, Lavell shares the best advice he ever got from Rudy Ray Moore ("Use everything you got"), recalls struggling in front of 4,000 people in Oklahoma City, and reflects on career highs like winning a SAG Award for ‘Breaking Bad’ and walking past Oprah. Lavell also gives props to the new generation of internet comedians like King Bach for their daily hustle, then gets vulnerable about his weight loss journey and the wake-up call he had after eating 35 lemon pepper wings from Wingstop.

- ‘Beauty in Black’ Stars Taylor Polidore and Ricco Ross Bring Chaos to the Turquoise Table | 37Mar 16, 2026 · 58 minThis week on We Playin' Spades, Nick Cannon and Courtney Bee are joined by Taylor Polidore and Ricco Ross, the stars of Tyler Perry's hit Netflix series, ‘Beauty in Black’!
Ricco Ross delivers a masterclass in acting longevity, sharing the legendary story of turning down a role in Stanley Kubrick’s ‘Full Metal Jacket’, which ultimately led to him starring in James Cameron’s ‘Aliens’. He also reflects on spending 13 years living and acting in London, sparking a powerful conversation about UK actor training vs. Black American entertainers, and tells a hilarious behind the scenes story about improvising with a live spider on stage in Chicago.
Taylor Polidore opens up about her journey into the Tyler Perry universe and the unforgettable audition that landed her role in ‘Beauty in Black’, including showing up in baggy pants and cornrows while others were fully dressed for a stripper role.
Things take a hilarious turn during the "Deal With It" segment when the table debates a wild relationship hypothetical: a 30-day no-arguing rule where the person who starts the fight owes the other $5,000. Taylor proudly leans into her Virgo energy, admitting she lacks accountability and would easily flip the fine back onto her partner!
From Hollywood history and Tyler Perry insights to relationship debates and unfiltered laughs, this episode is packed with unforgettable moments.

- Claudia Jordan & Annie Ilonzeh Talk Love, Hollywood & Wild Spades Moments | 36Mar 9, 2026 · 49 minThis week on We Playin' Spades, Nick Cannon and Courtney Bee are joined by media powerhouse Claudia Jordan and actress Annie Ilonzeh!
The ladies sit down at the Turquoise Table to talk about their brand new sci-fi movie, ‘Run’, hitting theaters on August 29th. Before the cards are dealt, Claudia drops a bombshell, claiming she might be the only woman in Hollywood Nick hasn't slept with, even though Nick insists he definitely tried back in the day!
The trash talk heats up as Nick revokes Claudia's "Black Card" for refusing to eat greens and chitlins, and the group debates a truly wild billionaire hypothetical. With Claudia admitting she has never played Spades before, the stakes are high. Will the beginners pull off an epic upset, or will the backyard bosses send them packing? Tune in to find out!

- Wood & Steve Harris Talk Hollywood Longevity, Brotherhood, & Spades | 35Mar 2, 2026 · 1 hr 15 minPull up a chair! Wood Harris and Steve Harris just sat down at the Turquoise Table, and they brought an absolute masterclass with them. The kind you rewind to hear twice. The kind that becomes your new daily mantra. The kind that proves real recognizes real.
Between hands, the brothers walk Nick and Courtney through the reality of navigating the Hollywood machine without losing your soul. Steve gives a powerful breakdown on why he refuses to play the "schmoozing" game, while Wood takes us back to his legendary NYU drama days—including the wild story of getting expelled in his final year! Plus, Wood shares a surreal encounter with Prince that will completely change the way you look at counting your birthdays.
Things get spicy when the "Black Card Revoked" questions hit the table. Nobody is backing down as they debate R&B legends, hip-hop trivia, and exactly who holds the crown as the greatest actor of all time.
And don’t you dare click out early! Because the Harris brothers came to play. The sibling banter is undefeated, the trash talk is elite, and you have to see if they can actually back up their boasts at the card table.

- Jazze Phizzle Came to Talk His Shizzle with Jazze Pha | 34Feb 23, 2026 · 46 minLadies and Gentleman! Jazze Pha has entered the Backyard Boogie, and he brought them “isms”. The kind you quote later. The kind that become captions. The kind that make you say, “This is a "Jazze Phizzle…product-shizzle!"
When he pulls up to Turquoise Table, Jazze walks Nick and Courtney through the insane catalog of songs he’s produced and sung on, from club anthems to R&B staples, while giving flowers to MC Breed for putting him on early and helping launch what would become one of the most recognizable sounds in the game. Along the way, he drops one of the wildest industry stories you’ll ever hear — somehow combining The Nutcracker, Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, Don ‘Magic’ Juan, and a hotboxed elevator into a single moment of chaos and legend.
Things get spicy when Jazze and Nick get into a friendly-but-serious debate over the true kings of R&B and hip hop and nobody is backing down quietly.
And don’t you dare click out early! Because Jazze closes the episode by serenading the Turquoise Table with a song you probably didn’t even know he sang. Vocals come out, nostalgia becomes activated, and the card game becomes irrelevant.
Oh Boy!

- Boss Moves & Bad Behavior at the Turquoise Table with Mercedes Moné | 33Feb 16, 2026 · 47 minThis week on We Playin’ Spades, the Turquoise Table turns into a global wrestling summit as AEW superstar Mercedes Moné pulls up with her spades tag-team partner Mina Shirakawa — and from the jump, it’s boss energy meets pure nonsense.
Mercedes talks CEO life and puts Nick onto some real business game, including the OG advice her cousin Snoop Dogg gave her about playing the role you have to play to get where you want to go. Meanwhile, Courtney fully commits to the bit by debuting her wrestling alter ego, The Jiggalator, complete with a live demonstration of her signature move (and we think AEW would approve).
Things go left when Mina and Nick hit a legendary lost-in-translation moment, while Mercedes and Mina lowkey start cheating by talking across the board in Japanese. Wrestling icons Eddie Guerrero and Manami Toyota get their well-deserved flowers, because legends must be honored — even in the middle of spades trash talk.
And in true Nick fashion, he somehow flirts his way into offering Mina a green card, while Courtney pauses the game to give the table a full vocabulary lesson no one asked for, but everyone needed.
Cards are played. Languages are mixed. Rules are ignored.
It’s an international spades collision — Turquoise Table style.

- Boundaries, Baby Oil, and Brutal Honesty with Moniece Slaughter | 32Feb 9, 2026 · 1 hr 11 minThis week on We Playin’ Spades, the Turquoise Table gets messy, reflective, and just a little bit reckless when songwriter and reality star Moniece Slaughter pulls up with her Spades partner, stand-up comedian Kaneisha Buss — and the Backyard Boogie immediately goes left.
Moniece wastes no time getting real. She talks about almost getting cancelled, what being celibate has taught her about herself (and everybody else), and her complicated feelings about living part of her life on reality TV. She opens up about cutting off fake friends, protecting her peace, and draws a very clear line in the sand when it comes to one specific dealbreaker: a hairless man covered in baby oil. Hard no. Absolutely not.
Across the table, Seattle brawler Kaneisha is in pure table-talk mode. She shares her deep love for Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, talks about why she doesn't believe in therapy, breaks down why it’s not the size of the boat but the motion of the ocean, and describes why she is an out and proud dead beat mother.
It’s funny, it’s uncomfortably honest, and everybody’s standing ten toes down. Proceed with caution.

- Reading the Table, Not the Comments with Dulcé Sloan and Malcolm Barrett | 31Feb 2, 2026 · 53 minThis week on We Playin’ Spades, the Turquoise Table gets real opinionated when comedian Dulcé Sloan pulls up to the Backyard Boogie — confident, clear, and not here for internet strangers.
Right away, Dulcé is talking her talk. She breaks down why she loves herself too much to read the comments, why she’s holding out for a husband who’s equally yoked, and what really happens when a comic is bombing onstage (she has no chill and even less sympathy). She also reminds the table that she already made it crystal clear on New Year’s Eve with Don Lemon: she is officially dating no more broke dudes. Period.
Her partner, The Boys actor Malcolm Barrett, keeps the table laughing with some painfully real Hollywood talk — the pros and cons of having the longest résumé of someone who’s not currently in a leading role, plus he and Nick take a trip down memory lane about working together on a show that was filmed in a wildly questionable warehouse…where an adult film was also being shot.
Somewhere between the side commentary and the accusations of being raggedy, Dulcé lets us know she’s deep in her K-drama bag and Nick drops a little money game about licensing Korean shows for U.S. audiences.
It’s funny, messy, and very on-brand — Jokes told? Innumerable. Lies told? Not a one.

- Rotten Tomatoes Snobbery & Senior Citizen Smash Lists with Kelly ‘K Dubb’ Walker | 30Jan 26, 2026 · 38 minThis week on We Playin’ Spades, Nick and Courtney welcome Kelly “K Dubb” Walker to the Turquoise Table — and from the jump, he’s letting the chopper sing.
K Dubb announces a personal boycott: If your movie doesn’t score 79% or better on Rotten Tomatoes, he will not be seated. Tyler Perry? Tubi? He wishes them well…from a distance.
He also drops one of the wildest takes of the season: while most comedians are dodging cancellation, K Dubb is inviting it — just once — so people finally know his name. When the table pivots to “who you riding with in a fight,” K Dubb leaves the rest of HaHa Mafia on read and picks comedian Erica Duchess as his spades partner and tag-team warrior.
The vibes morph into a mini group therapy session as Erica shares the grounded, loving advice she gives her boys, while K Dubb admits the wisdom from his mama might be the reason he’s like this today. And speaking of mamas...the conversation swerves into AARP thirst traps, with everyone confessing which Hollywood geriatric they’d like to get some arthritic lovin' from.
And just when he thought he was leaving the Backyard unscathed, Courtney reveals K Dubb's Diddy-adjacent history that takes the table out completely. The jokes get reckless. The truth gets messy. Anybody could catch a stray.

- TS Madison Gets ‘Cozy’ at the Turquoise Table | 29Jan 19, 2026 · 1 hrThis week on We Playin’ Spades, the Turquoise Table goes technicolor when TS Madison struts in—unfiltered, unbothered, and ready to run the whole Backyard Boogie.
From the first card drop, Maddie is giving full “mouth of the South” energy. She’s breaking down her rise from internet legend to Hollywood mainstay, recalling what it really feels like to get that call from Beyoncé (!!), and sharing the OG wisdom she picked up from Mama Ru herself (RuPaul, if ya nasty) — the kind of game that’ll shift your whole hustle if you’re paying attention.
But then in comes the curveball: Rodney Chester, Mr. Noah’s Arc royalty, who decides it’s his turn to talk across the board — to everybody. Rodney is giving unsolicited strategy and saying things that probably should’ve stayed in the drafts. TS tries to reel him in… but honestly? It’s too late. The table is fully in cancel-adjacent territory.
Meanwhile, TS keeps reminding us what makes her a force — she’s lifting others up every step of the way, pulling the next generation through the door instead of shutting it behind her, and dragging anyone who thinks she’s gonna dial it back to fit in.
The cards? Chile…barely a factor.
The chaos? Peak.
The shade? USDA prime.
The laughs? Unholy.
It’s loud, it’s legendary, it’s a LGBTQ+ royalty takeover — and the Turquoise Table may never recover. Pull up, if your edges can withstand it. 🃏🌈🔥

- Two Legends, Zero Filter with Jackée Harry and Kym Whitley | 28Jan 12, 2026 · 31 minThis week on We Playin’ Spades, Nick and Courtney barely get a word in as comedy royalty Jackée Harry and Kym Whitley pull up to the Turquoise Table and immediately take over the Backyard Boogie.
From the jump, it’s nonstop talk-yo-shhh energy—classic Hollywood stories, unfiltered shade, and the kind of auntie humor you cannot rehearse. Jackée and Kym trade wild memories from Detroit to Def Comedy Jam days, break down how Hollywood really works, and prove why they’ve been legends for decades: fearless, funny, and absolutely ungovernable.
The Spades game? Almost secondary. Between eating chitlins with Aretha Franklin, reneging accusations, OG advice from icons like Diahann Carroll, and wagers that spiral completely out of control, this episode turns into a masterclass in Black table talk.
It’s loud, it’s legendary, it’s lovingly disrespectful—and it might be the most Black-ass game of Spades we’ve ever played. Pull up… if you can keep up. 🃏🔥

Kane breaks down the art of being a ladies’ man, why lyricism still rules the game, and drops rare, behind-the-scenes gems about Tupac, Queen Latifah, and a young Jay-Z.
Meanwhile, Heather flips everyone’s expectations—opening up about becoming a mom, confessing she still can’t twerk (despite the résumé), and explaining how she’s actually a conservative “Disney freak” with a wild past and a wholesome core.
It’s legends linking up, secrets spilling out, and the cards hitting the table harder than a Brooklyn beat. Pull up—this one’s for the culture and the plot twists. 🃏✨

- Good Genes, Ugly Headlines and The Pursuit of Cracker Greatness With Kordell Beckham and Odell Beckham Sr. | 23Dec 8, 2025 · 35 minThis week on We Playin’ Spades, it’s generations of greatness in the bodega, as Nick and Courtney continue their NYC run with Kordell Beckham and his father Odell Beckham Sr. The dapper dad-and-son duo pull up to Turquoise Table with the family’s Spades legacy on the line.
Kordell tells us how he went from fueling planes on the tarmac to becoming head mack on Love Island, his path to acting on Reasonable Doubt, and how he became the King of Cheez-It Mountain. Plus, he settled once and for all who the best-looking Beckham is. Hint: it’s not big bro Odell Beckham Jr.
The senior Beckham also lays out why it’s always important to speak up for family, the wisdom he’s passing down to the younger generation, and why a mani-pedi once in a while is just fine.
It’s a family affair, but will the Beckhams beat the besties? Grab some crackers, put up your pedicured feet, and watch the show to find out.

- Alabama Gangs, Schoolhouse Paddles, and Oscar Night Chaos with Roy Wood Jr. and Andre Holland | 22Dec 1, 2025 · 46 minThis week on We Playin’ Spades, Nick and Courtney welcome two Alabama slammers to the Turquoise Table: comedian and Daily Show alum Roy Wood Jr. and actor-director Andre Holland, the creative force behind their new film Love, Brooklyn.
Roy and Andre take us back to their Birmingham and Bessemer roots — from Roy debunking the myth that Alabama is all civil rights history and sweet tea — yes, there are gangs — to the teachers who stayed armed with paddles like it was part of the curriculum. The Table dives into bummy fathers, debates masculinity in Black media, and why emotional honesty still feels like a foreign language to half the men they know.
Roy breaks down the state of free speech in comedy(and why some folks just aren’t gonna vibe with what you’re saying, no matter how you say it), while Andre recounts the pure chaos and confusion he and the Moonlight cast lived through the night that infamous Oscar card got read.
Shuffle up and sip slow — these two are dealing all the wild stories today.

- Business, Pleasure & Baby Mama Pressure with Bre Tiesi and Aminah Imani | 21Nov 24, 2025 · 48 minThis week on We Playin’ Spades, business and pleasure get real tangled, real quick as Nick and Courtney face off with entrepreneur, Selling Sunset alum, and Nick’s baby mama Bre Tiesi, alongside Courtney’s homie Aminah Imani — comedian, actress, and mother with no filter.
Both ladies air out the raggedy sides of motherhood, while Bre drops her most toxic traits and how she and Nick really linked up. Aminah testifies about dating herself (yes, solo sessions count), Courtney argues that a good diner date can out-do half these fancy restaurants and Nick lectures them all about raising “soft kids.” And trust, the jokes land harder when everybody’s got history and the shade is coming from inside the house.

- Twerking, Spilling Tea and Real Housewives Fashion Tips with Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby | 20Nov 17, 2025 · 49 minThis week on We Playin’ Spades, it’s getting reasonably shady at the Turquoise Table because Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby have entered the backyard! The reigning queens of Real Housewives of Potomac pull up ready to talk their talk—and Gizelle wastes no time arguing with Nick about which school is the real HU (Hampton or Howard… let us know in the comments).
We get into the Grand Dame’s homecoming (with all due respect to the throne), Ashley gives us a live dissertation on Twerkonomics 101, and the table debates which Housewives franchise shows up to brunch looking… less than grand (we’re just calling a spade a spade, okay?) The shade is light, the laughs are loud, and the bids are locked. Grab your drink, grab your partner — because today? It’s not for the faint of wig.
