Gerald Kelly has a multi-dimensional career as a stand-up comic, actor and executive producer. He built a solid career as a comic and headlines shows across country. This veteran comedian knows his stuff. His diverse material brings people together all over the world, in the name of comedy. Known to many as the “Green-Eyed Bandit of Comedy”, also known as the underrated “NY King of Comedy”, he made his mark as one of the funniest comics to hit the stage. Russell Simmons calls him the “Black Jackie Gleason” and with his brand of comedy he’s guaranteed to make you a believer in the healing powers of laughter. Kelly has hosted and opened for various iconic comedians & musical artists which include Chris Rock, Chris Tucker, Steve Harvey and the late, great, Bernie Mac; Mariah Carey, New Edition, Boys II Men, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Kirk Franklin and more. On film and television, he has appeared on NBC’s Last Comic Standing S8, HBO's Def Comedy Jam, Comedy Central, and Showtime at the Apollo, BET’s Comic View, Conan O'Brien Show and Chocolate Sundaes [hosted by Tommy Davidson]. His movies include, The Other Brother, Death of a Dynasty, Cookout 2 and Budz House as well as Budz House Backstage [featuring Kevin Hart]. Gerald’s host of DVDs include: Comedy in The Hood, Laugh Bandits: No. 1, Gerald Kelly Live in New York, Gospel Comedy All-Stars: 1 & 2, and his latest, “Gerald Kelly on Broadway”, available now on Amazon.com, Walmart.com and iTunes. He's also been on radio as a morning show for 107.5 WBLS (NYC) and co-host in Hartford, Connecticut at Hot 93.7 WZMX as part of the Morning Show. He’s also guest hosted on the Tom Joyner Morning Show. In addition to Kelly’s roles on the screen,stage, and radio, he finds the time to be active in the community. Gerald donates his time to the betterment of youth development programs in inner-cities and even developed the Microphones Up Guns Down movement, which is an initiative that teaches young people how to use their gifts and talents to end the war on gun violence in underserved communities. He gives to the community and advocates for youth and young adults and has sponsored his annual Bronx Day community cookout and basketball tournament for the last 22 years. Gerald loves making a difference with his laughter and his love for people. He continues to travel the country giving the gift of laughter to anyone who is willing to listen. He just filmed his half an hour special on Kevin Hart’s new, Laugh Out Loud network. He just finished working on his sitcom, Kelly’s Korner, which features a phenomenal cast of actors & fellow comedians.
