Matt Vita is a Brooklyn, NY & VT-based comedian with well over a decade of standup, improv, and acting experience. He has opened for headliners Colin Quinn, Kevin McDonald, Heather Shaw, and Steve Hofstetter, and has appeared opposite Queen Latifah in the CBS drama series The Equalizer. Matt has headlined New York Comedy Club, Empire Comedy Club (ME), City Winery (Boston), Don’t Tell Comedy (NY, PA, NH, VA), and many more. He is an award-winning freestyle rapper who often incorporates improv rap into his sets and has shared the stage with notable hip-hop acts such as Rahzel (of The Roots). He is also the co-founder of both the Vermont Comedy Festival and the Vermont Film Festival, which has featured headliners Tim Meadows, Colin Quinn, Joe List, and Judy Gold. On stage, Matt is known for his relatable observations, zany energy, sharp improvisational skills, and ability to connect with diverse crowds.
