The Secret is Out! Wellie Jackson’s Hour in Times Square Catch him before he jets to Sunset Boulevard! Stand Up NY Celebrates Wellie Jackson 14 Years at the club -- one of our most loved and favorite house comics is moving to LA! "He’s in films! Leaving us for the big screen!" Stand Up NY Presents: SECRET SHOW WELLIE JACKSON Friday, May 15, 2026 (Showtime 8:30 PM, Doors 8:00 PM) Opening Acts: Nicci Hoo & Daniel Vezza Are you ready? Come see his magnetic performance one last time, his electric crowd work, and it will be a night you’ll remember till the next time (he’s back on our stage). Wellie Jackson is a New York powerhouse who pivoted from the basketball court to the world’s biggest stages—a comedic force who’s toured with legends like Tracy Morgan and Tiffany Haddish, headlined the Apollo, and was named one of the New York Post’s 'Must-See' comedians. Give it up for your secret headliner, the star of the upcoming film Damn Knicks, the incomparable Wellie Jackson! New York City’s own Wellie Jackson has rapidly ascended to become one of the brightest stars in the comedy world through his unique brand of autobiographical storytelling. Since 2011, he has been a mainstay alongside comedy legend Tracy Morgan, performing on over 65 dates of the "Picking up the Pieces" tour at iconic venues like Madison Square Garden and Carnegie Hall, while also contributing as a writer to Morgan’s Netflix special Staying Alive and the hit TBS series The Last O.G. Jackson's versatile talent has seen him tour with Tiffany Haddish, headline the historic Apollo Theater, and transition seamlessly to the screen with roles in Orange Is the New Black and Tina Fey’s Girls5eva. Currently a national voice on the syndicated The Deja Vu Show and a recurring headliner for the New York Comedy Festival, Wellie Jackson was recognized by the New York Post as a "Top 19 Must-See Comedian" alongside icons like Jon Stewart and Jim Gaffigan—a momentum he carries into 2026 as the lead in the film Damn Knicks, set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival. Stand Up NY celebrates Wellie Jackson and is honored to host his headliner show before he leaves for LA and thank him for gracing our stage since 2012 and always bringing the house down.
