The year is 1915. Edgar Lee Masters writes a collection of free verse poems, imagined as epitaphs from the residents of Spoon River. These dramatic monologues delivered from beyond the grave speak of the most tragic circumstances: untimely death. Indiscretions. Infidelity. Blasphemy. Love. Hate.On 9/9 at 9pm, an ensemble of clowns will present a selection of poems from the Spoon River Anthology in a breathtaking clown melodrama, with live music accompaniment.World premiere.
