Clown Intensive w Gemma Soldati DESCRIPTION: Discover and reunite with your playful spirit and comedic vocabulary in this workshop of fun. Using clown, physical games, costume and improvisation, we’ll explore our imagination, pleasure, and our relationship with an audience. This workshop will help participants unleash their muse and confront their doubt. We’ll find what we may have lost or forgotten on our journey to become “good.” This class is for folks of all experience levels who are ready to take their comedic practice to the next level in a supportive and creative environment. IG: @Sleepyheadshow BIO: “Gemma’s absolute fearlessness matches her commitment to the absurd” – Comedy Bureau Gemma Soldati is an American performing and teaching artist. She won Best Comedy at the 2019 Melbourne Fringe with The Living Room. She has taught in Los Angeles, NYC, New England, Chicago, and Toronto for both adults and children. She was a 2023/24 resident at Ars Nova’s Makers Lab in NYC. Gemma’s focus is clown inspired work developed in front of live audiences. Her projects playfully dive deep into the heart of vital themes probing audiences with questions and meaning making – Grief, Ritual, Sleep, Dreams, Money, Power and beyond. Her current project is The Adventures of Sleepyhead, an all ages show, book and in-development tv program about a dreamer named Sleepyhead.
