Founded in 1986, Stand Up NY is one of New York City’s most historic comedy clubs and has helped launch and showcase some of comedy’s biggest stars over the past four decades. Located in Times Square, the club continues to be a major cultural hub for stand-up comedy, producing hundreds of shows annually while also expanding nationally through its live event division, Stand Up NY Presents.
The company has recently produced successful comedy experiences in unique venues and private clubs across New York and Los Angeles, focusing on curated, experiential entertainment that goes beyond the traditional comedy format.
Comedian bios:
Myq Kaplan is a nationally touring comedian known for his intelligent, wordplay-driven comedy and unique perspective. His top television credits include performances on The Tonight Show, Conan, The Late Show with David Letterman, and America's Got Talent. Additionally, he has released multiple acclaimed specials and albums, including Small, Dork, and Handsome, which was praised by The New York Times.
Erin Maguire blends clever observational humor and self-deprecating wit to deliver an engaging, high-energy perspective on everyday life and modern adulthood. Her highest credits include appearances on Gotham Comedy Live, SiriusXM, and major comedy festivals across the country.
Liz Glazer, a former tenured law professor, brings a unique voice to stand-up by speaking humorously on the intersection of grief, resilience, and maintaining sobriety. Her top achievements include winning first place in both the Boston Comedy Festival and the Ladies of Laughter Competition and has appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Don’t Tell Comedy, Nate Bargatze’s The Showcase.
Patrick Holbert is known for his charming and affable stage presence, often drawing upon his past struggles with substance abuse as the foundation for his act. A regular in the New York City comedy scene, his most notable credit is Punch Line Drunk, an educational one-man show he tours at colleges. Described as a "TED Talk of Shame," the show uses humor to share his transformative journey from substance abuse to 17 years of sobriety.
Dan Ahdoot is a New York-based comedian known for his clean, corporate-friendly style that blends high-energy crowd work with “relatable and smar” anecdotes about his Iranian-American background, food, and family. A prolific performer who has toured all 50 states, his highest credits include roles and stand-up appearances on Cobra Kai, Shameless, The Tonight Show, Conan, and Last Comic Standing.
