Improvised Romantasy

About this show

Ancient blood curses, wicked bargains, hilarious chaos, and sexual tension capable of raising both the dead and the stakes. This October, Improvised Romantasy descends on iO Theater for a special gothic Halloween edition where the monsters don't just haunt the dark: they rule it by "Yes, and..."-ing your deepest, darkest, and most ridiculous desires. Expect morally gray shadow daddies, laugh-out-loud monster lovers, gothic angst, and the explosive enemies-to-lovers heat usually reserved for the restricted sections of your favorite paperbacks. No script. No safety net. You hand our comedy ensemble your spiciest tropes and darkest fantasy prompts, and we bring an unscripted, wildly funny gothic romance to life right before your eyes. Will they break the curse or succumb to the bite? You hold the quill this Halloween.
