PREACHER LAWSON

About this show

Preacher Lawson is a stand-up comedian, actor, and creator built on high-energy storytelling and physical, joy-driven comedy. He first broke into the national spotlight as a finalist on America's Got Talent, then returned for AGT: The Champions, advancing to the finale a second time. That launching pad, paired with relentless touring and a viral social following, has turned him into a global headliner with credits on NBC's Connecting, HBO's A Black Lady Sketch Show, and Netflix's I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson, plus festival stops including Netflix Is a Joke. His third stand-up special, Keep Preacher Weird, released in January 2026, joining Get to Know Me and My Name Is Preacher in a run of specials that have drawn millions of views online. Raised in a military family and shaped by a childhood spent moving from place to place, Lawson turns that restlessness into material about resilience, relationships, and finding humor in chaos — delivered with fearless honesty and sharp physical comedy. Off stage, he's expanding into film and TV, including his first documentary feature, which follows life on the road with his family, all while keeping a steady stream of content flowing to his social following. Preacher's brand of joyful chaos deserves a meal to match, and Comix Roadhouse delivers on that front too: Connecticut Magazine named it the state's Best Casino Casual Dining pick for 2026, and OpenTable diners voted it a 2026 Diners' Choice favorite — proof this is as much a destination as it is a stage.
