Mr. Burns, A Post-electric Play

About this show

What will endure when catastrophe strike when the grid fails, society collapses, and humanity must rebuild from the fragments left behind? Mr. Burns, a post-electric play begins in the aftermath of disaster, as a group of survivors gathers to reconstruct a lost episode of The Simpsons from memory. Over the decades that follow, those shared recollections evolve into entertainment, ritual, and eventually mythology, revealing the surprising ways stories shape culture and collective identity. Hilarious, haunting, and thought-provoking, Anne Washburns darkly inventive play explores memory, resilience, and the enduring human need to find meaning through storytelling.
